SpiritHorse is not a religious organization; however, we believe in a higher power and have faith in the Heavenly Father. By grace we have wonderful horses to partner with while working with our students and volunteers.
TommyTommy is a Red Roan Quarter Horse, with a bald face and flaxen mane and tail. He has Been with us since June 2018, and we consider him our "gentle giant". He rides both English and Western. Most of our older students that need more emotional support gravitate to working with Tommy due to his gentle, loving nature. He is a slow mover and helps nervous riders feel at ease. Tommy loves to please and make everyone happy.

FrecklesFreckles is a Pony of America (POA) which is a cross between an Appaloosa and a Welsh pony. Freckles has been with us since February 2020, and she is our best pony for the little riders! She loves her new job and really enjoys being praised. Freckles has more "whoa than go", which means she will work best with students that may need more time to process actions.

John wayneJohn Wayne is a flea bitten gray Quarter Horse. He is been with us for 2 years now! Much like his name suggests, John Wayne is steady and strong. He previously worked as a roping and trail horse. He gives his best to our riders that need more physical stability, and his slow, steady gate provides confidence to our students.

LillyLilly is the newest member of our team, joining February 2023. She is an Appaloosa mare, short, stout, and steady. She has a unique mane and tail that shares characteristics with a favored breed for therapy riding, the Fjord. Lilly has big horseshoes to fill after the loss of one of the best therapy horses at SpiritHorse. We look forward to working with Lilly and our students for years to come.
